1. if the resolution of the 2 monitors is different like 720P and 1080P, it automatically outputs the lower resolution 720P on bother monitors. So 4K monitors are prefered as this splitter is 4K splitter.
2. It can't support screen extension nor other similar one does. However, if you own 3 monitors and your computer graphic card support extended screen, you can still use it to extend the second on other 2 monitors. The 3 premises: 3 monitors + extend-screen-supported graphic card + 2 valid ports(vga+hdmi or 2 hdmi) on the computer
